Important Updates: New Rules and Regulations for Payment Card Usage in Iraq

Ensuring Compliance and Enhancing Your NassPay Experience

The Central Bank of Iraq has recently implemented new rules and regulations that affect the usage of payment cards. At NassPay, we are committed to keeping you informed and ensuring your financial transactions remain secure and hassle-free. Therefore, we would like to provide you with the following important updates:

Effective from the 1st of August 2023, or when your card balance is fully consumed, any card that does not have a name printed on card will no longer be valid. We kindly request you to visit the nearest NassPay location to add your name to your card, if it currently does not have one. By taking this simple step, you can ensure the continued usability of your NassPay card.

To ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Iraq’s regulations, the the transaction limits for your NassPay card have been revised. These limits are as follows:

A. Cash-Out Limit via ATM:

You can withdraw up to $300 (or the equivalent amount in other currencies) per day. Furthermore, the cash-out limit for each month is set at $3000.

     B. Purchasing Limit via POS:

For purchases made using your NassPay card at point-of-sale (POS) terminals, the daily limit is $750 (or the equivalent amount in other currencies).

     C. Balance and Reload Limit
The monthly card balance and reload limit is IQD 10,000,000 (or the equivalent amount in other currencies).

It is essential to keep in mind that this daily limit should not exceed your card’s monthly limit. Any transaction that exceeds these limits may be declined.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these new regulations set by the Central Bank of Iraq. By doing so, you will help ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience when using your NassPay card for both withdrawals and purchases.
